Pets of all ages can develop problems with their joints. Most commonly we encounter older dogs who sustain knee injuries, namely acute cruciate ligament ruptures (ACL injury). In many cases pet orthopedic surgery may be recommended. We can perform a variety of knee joint stabilization techniques included TPLO, TTA, and extracapsular suture repair. Thorough orthopedic examination and imaging such x-rays can help definitively identify ACL damage. Based upon findings of these diagnostics the best surgical repair option for your pet would be recommended.
